The whole island is a recreational area (friluftsområde) belonging to the city of Helsingfors, but it welcomes all visitors.

Entry may be tricky on heavy wind as one approaches heading roughly W and in the end makes a quick turn to NE in order to enter through a narrow passage between ominous-looking rocks. The seamarks may look curiously placed especially from the distance, but they should be trusted. A careful advance study of the sea chart is recommended. Once in, the harbour itself is safe and calm at practically every wind. The fairway depth is marked at 1,2 m in sea charts, but 1,9 m goes through with flying colors.

This harbour is a bit too close to Helsingfors in the sense that the "night life" gets bit rowdy at times. Good ear plugs are worth every cent they cost!
In addition to outhouses and water there are no services in the harbour itself. There's a cafe and a sauna on the island.
